We are a voluntary organisation, working to support people living with dementia and their carers in Alton and the surrounding area.
Our weekly programme of events supports individuals and carers who are living with and managing dementia.
The programme aims to reduce isolation, promote independence, improve physical and mental wellbeing, and create a dementia-friendly community where people and their carers can remain active, connected, and supported.
To find out more about the sessions, whether you’re interested in: movement and exercise; creative arts and music; green therapy or health and wellbeing, take a look under the Dementia Support Tab. Dates for the ‘Living Well with Dementia’ and ‘Carers’ Courses as well as Special / Open Events at the Alton Meeting Centre can be found in the calendar on the homepage.Â
All sessions held at Alton Assembly Rooms unless otherwise stated.
Please note the programme may change slightly from time to time to suit requests from the membership and to accommodate additional activities.
Please feel free to pop in for a chat and a cuppa, 10am – 4pm from Monday to Friday.
If you would rather book a specific time for an initial meeting, to be shown round the Centre and consider how best to engage in the activities available, complete the form below to refer yourself (or someone else) for a personal appointment.
The Meeting Centre Team will contact them to agree date for an appointment within 1-3 days.
